At Laptopcare.lk, operated by Laptop Care (Pvt) Ltd, we want every customer to have a clear and fair purchase experience. This page explains how return, exchange, refund, and warranty-related requests are reviewed.

1. Overview

This Return Policy explains how returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranty-related product concerns are handled by Laptopcare.lk, operated by Laptop Care (Pvt) Ltd.

We aim to handle every request fairly, but all returns are subject to product condition, warranty terms, supplier approval, manufacturer policy, and applicable Sri Lankan law.

2. Return Eligibility

A product may be eligible for return or exchange if it is defective on arrival, incorrectly supplied, damaged before delivery, or significantly different from the confirmed order.

Return requests must be made as soon as possible after receiving the product. Delayed requests may be rejected if the product condition cannot be verified.

Products must be returned with the original invoice, packaging, accessories, manuals, warranty cards, serial number labels, and any included items.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Certain items may not be returnable once opened, installed, activated, registered, used, damaged, or altered.

This may include software, license keys, special-order products, clearance items, customized products, opened consumables, items with missing serial numbers, and products damaged by customer handling.

Products with physical damage, liquid damage, burn marks, broken seals, missing accessories, unauthorized repair attempts, or signs of misuse may not be accepted for return.

4. Change of Mind Returns

Change of mind returns are not guaranteed and may be accepted only at the discretion of LaptopCare.lk.

If approved, the product must be unused, unopened, complete, and in resaleable condition. Restocking fees, delivery charges, payment gateway fees, or handling costs may apply.

5. Defective or Faulty Products

If you believe a product is defective, please contact us with your invoice number, product details, issue description, photos or videos where possible, and contact information.

The product may need to be inspected by LaptopCare.lk, the supplier, or the authorized service center before a replacement, repair, refund, or warranty claim can be approved.

Some issues may be resolved through troubleshooting, driver updates, software configuration, or manufacturer support before a return is accepted.

6. Damaged or Incorrect Delivery

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please notify us immediately after delivery.

Keep the original packaging, courier labels, invoice, and product condition unchanged until our team reviews the issue.

Failure to report delivery damage promptly may affect return, exchange, or courier claim eligibility.

7. Refunds

Refunds are processed only after the returned product is inspected and approved.

Approved refunds may be issued through the original payment method, bank transfer, store credit, or another agreed method.

Refund processing times may vary depending on payment providers, banks, internal verification, and supplier approval.

Delivery fees, payment processing fees, installation fees, service fees, and handling charges may be non-refundable unless required by law or approved by LaptopCare.lk.

8. Exchanges

Where possible, eligible products may be exchanged for the same product or another product of equal or higher value, subject to stock availability and price difference payment.

If the same product is unavailable, we may offer a suitable alternative, repair option, store credit, or refund depending on the situation.

9. Warranty Claims

Warranty claims are handled according to the product warranty terms provided by the manufacturer, supplier, or authorized service provider.

Warranty does not usually cover accidental damage, physical damage, liquid damage, power damage, misuse, unauthorized repairs, software issues, data loss, or normal wear and tear.

Customers may be required to provide the invoice, serial number, warranty card, and product accessories when making a warranty claim.

10. Service and Repair Returns

For repair, diagnostic, upgrade, or maintenance services, customers should back up all important data before handing over a device.

LaptopCare.lk is not responsible for data loss, software corruption, or data recovery unless a separate written agreement is made.

Parts replaced during service may carry separate warranty terms depending on the part, supplier, or manufacturer.

11. Return Shipping and Transport

Customers may be responsible for return transport or courier costs unless the return is due to an approved LaptopCare.lk error or confirmed defective-on-arrival case.

Products sent back must be packed safely. LaptopCare.lk is not responsible for damage caused during return transport due to poor packaging.

12. Inspection and Approval

All returned products are subject to inspection. Approval is not guaranteed until the product condition, accessories, serial numbers, and issue details are verified.

If a return is rejected, the customer may need to collect the product or pay for return delivery.

13. Policy Updates

We may update this Return Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
